Karl Rove vs. WA Hyperbole

Toll Keen anyone?

Ambassador Joe Wilson attended a Reject Rove Rally across from the Bellevue Hilton this evening. I will have some of his words later. I held a sign that read Unholy Trinity: Rob McKenna, Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers. For now Joel Connelley's words are enough.

Note: Ledership(journalist pun for headlines)
No apologies to the hyperbole. We don't mean to demonize, but we just can't forget.
Namely, Karl Rove brought*us George W. Bush.

*I use "brought" loosely and no Koch Cain. Note hyperbole.

Apples and Oranges?

National Hyperbole?
Herman Cain is trying to explain his 9-9-9 or Sim City tax code, while Perry(or Romney) is trying to make the point that people don't want another tax, without pointing out the regressive nature of it. It really is apples and oranges, both of which will impact the 99% more than the 1%.

[My original intent was to note the rhetoric* in the hyperbole link, and get to my compromise-D point via "apples and oranges". i.e. who am I to recommend a Republican candidate? But suggesting that it go all the way, to the convention. Which itself is un-conventional, but do I have the facts to back that up? However...after last nights debate and a Rovian theory I have been scrolling over in my mind, could it be? Romney/Perry 2012?** In my opinion the best thing for the country is a more moderate Republican that will still be too right, that would allow Obama to hold the 99'ers. But that is not the way Republicans work, and it is even difficult sometimes for democracy to work. It is fine to attack an opponents strengths in a game or a battle and that works in politics, but that is not what works in governing.]
[Lions, and Tigers and Bears(please excuse the Wizard of OWS* analogy) is an apples and oranges and cherry picking procedure. For Republicans it is Tea or Koch and Rove, for democracy it is apples and oranges and cherry pitting. Pitting is a good thing, with apologies to Martha Stewart, not to mention George Washington, with his supposed hatchet.]

** Note that a more "realistic" combo(pardon the pun) may be Romney/Cain. And no pardon for the quotation marks, but the ticket would be more debate worthy. [OK, I pun on the pardon, but not the debate, with CAUTION.]

Here! Here! For Joan Smith's "It is about time the US got over 9-11" and her appearance on Seattle radio. The host could not get over his own hyperbole to see his error. It goes over my head how he can get from "get over" to "forget it". Getting over it, is not to forget it. And as he reads my e-mail, he [probably]goes "Huh?"

[His] hyperbole in reaction is getting in the way of thinking. It is a matter of moving on and how we determine how. Not only determining how we react, but determining and being honest about, and even knowing how and if we can pre-empt.

September 11th made me sick! Does that mean we have to behave as sick people? Her defense of her logic was even better than her writing. None of us will forget, and yes it is healthy to get over.

Some callers called into question her writing, when they could not even see literally. If we cannot even agree on language, we will never even know the meaning of Sept. 11th. While some may say there is no meaning, others will certainly run with it. Then the radio had the message from President Bush to the U.N. "When you say something, does it mean anything?" Well put. Do we know what he means?

A collegue recently commented on the difficulty or the desire to be objective.  This nails perspectivism on the head, or is it the cross?  From neo-perspectivism through neo-nuanced and neo-platonic we do have a dynamic*** of global balance.  More sorting later*.    Thus spoke Niche?

BTW: Under the Flip link there is an accounting or statistical trick that is not unknown to the debate.  I won't play upon it, but it involves the "average tax cut" versus "the middle-income American."  It is mathematical hyperbole as well as reasonable, where reality is even more confusing.  It is more accurate to say that the richest are paying a lesser per cent of their gross (actual tax rate) than any other income category after the  standard deductions and other taxes are accounted for.]

Pardon the pun on personalities and lyrics.

But Lawrence O'Donnell may have gone one take too far.

I think Ted Nugent may have walked the line of nuance better.

Lawrence filled in a "not so veiled suggestion" that Ted may have avoided. I am not defending hateful and ugly hyperbole or other extremely inaccurate characterizations made by Nugent, but he could have been implying that he could not bear to live under an Obama administration or would be persecuted for his speech. Not that he would commit suicide, I just hate to play with Nugent's cause and effect deficiency.

Maybe this is my version of Nuance Wars.

On Friday after my posts, or it could have been Thursday, I was reflecting on the apparent synchronicity or was it anachronicity? Gotcha. Actually, I was reflecting more on my writing style or flow(hyperbole/hyperbola). Suffice to say, I was curious about the convenience of some of my searches when I would be in need of embedding some meaning. In particular, at some point I searched my blogspot for "blue" and was amazed to find only five prior uses, which is not correct**. (See Bold Bubble above) But there is a point that our own meaning is involved in our style which I will not reconstruct. While somewhere in this loopiness there is an AL GORE rythm, here is one segment unembedded from other work:
